To address this pressing crisis, the greeneconomy has emerged as a critical pathway to balance economic growthwith environmental protection, and it is widely recognized by theinternational community as an important engine for advancing globalgreen transition. In this context, countries worldwide have attached greatimportance to the development of the green economy, incorporating it intonational strategies and regional cooperation agendas. Turkmenistan isalso proactive in this effort, regarding green economy development as akeydirection in national policy formulation and regional cooperation. Thecountry has actively promoted reforms in green economy areas, such asthe rational use of natural resources, energy efficiency improvements, andecological protection, and has played apositive role in regional and globalgreen development cooperation. In line with this national strategy and regional green transitionneeds, scholars from the Green Economy Educational Center of theTurkmen State Institute of Economics and Management have undertakena comprehensive selection, collection, and compilation ofEnglish termsrelated to the green economy. These terms are mainly sourced from authoritative public materials,including reports from international organizations, academic papers,professional textbooks, and official policy documents. The selectionfollows strict criteria: prioritizing core concepts of green economy andsustainabledevelopment,focusing on policy-relevant and globallyapplicable terms, and incorporating emerging vocabulary that reflects thelatest developments in the green economy. On this basis, scholars havetranslated these English terms into Turkmen. To support knowledge exchange in the field of the green economy,and with the voluntary, off-duty contributions of several staff membersfromthe Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation(CAREC)Institute, these terms have been compiled into a trilingualglossary (English, Turkmen, and Chinese) for reference purposes. In the event ofany inconsistency or discrepancy, the English version shall prevail.
