The chemical analysis so far indicatedthat out of 10 samples analyzedmet quality standards, while acough syrup ‘Coldrif’containeddiethyleneglycol (DEG)beyond permissiblelimit. Public health response1 •Regulatory action has been taken by Tamil NaduFood and Drug Administration (FDA)on themanufacturerwhich is located inKancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. Cancellation of the manufacturing license has beenrecommended by CDSCO based on inspection findings.•
