Nepal:Cholera Situationoverviewas of24September2025 •On 22 August, health facilities in Birgunj Metropolitan City reported a sudden increase in Acute Watery Diarrhea(AWD) cases2.•According to the Public Health Emergency Operations Center(PHEOC)of Madhesh Province:3oTotalof1543casesofAWDwere reported between 9Augustand23SeptemberoOut of1543cases:➢1328suspected cases➢32 culture positive➢183RDT positiveoAs of 23September:➢31casesremain active, while 1,512caseshave recovered.➢The 15–24 years age group was mostaffected, with 360cases (23.3%), while 112cases (7.3%) werereported among children under 5 years.➢Most cholera cases were reported in wards 11, 12, and 13, which are densely populated areas.➢No cholera deaths were reported.
