According to the data therein, investmentinreal estate development in the PRC between January andJune 2024 amounted to RMB5,252,900 million, representing adecrease of 10.1% as compared to the previous year. The totalareaof completed properties was 265,190 thousand sq.m.,representing a decrease of 21.8%; of which, that of residentialproperties was 192,590 thousand sq.m., representing a decreaseof 21.7%. The total sales area of newly-constructed commercialproperties was 479,160 thousand sq.m., representing a decreaseof19.0%as compared to the previous year;of which,thatofresidential properties decreased by 21.9%.The total salesamount of newly-constructed commercial properties amountedto RMB4,713,300 million, representing a decrease of 25.0%; ofwhich, that of residential properties decreased by 26.9%. On 18 July 2024, the Bureau of Statistics of Henan Provinceissueda report on the“General Situation of the Real EstateMarket of Henan Province in the First Half of 2024”. Accordingtothe data therein,investment in real estate development inHenan Province between January and June 2024 decreased by9.1% as compared to the previous year; of which, investmentin residential properties decreased by 8.1%. The total area ofcompleted properties in Henan Province decreased by 5.5%; ofwhich, that of residential properties increased by 3.3%. The totalsales area of newly-constructed commercial properties in HenanProvince decreased by 19.4% as compared to the previous year;of which, that of residential properties decreased by 20.3%.
