This census targets households andinstitutions involved in agriculture across the country and is conducted by the Kenya NationalBureau of Statistics (KNBS) in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and LivestockDevelopment and other key stakeholders.Following international guidelines, it is advisable to conduct a pilot survey before the main datacollection exercise. The pilot survey is designed to test the effectiveness of the survey tools,estimate time and cost requirements, and identify potential challenges for the main fieldwork.The KNBS conducted a pilot survey for the census between February and May 2024.
