Overallmessagesrelated to this year’sWorld Hand Hygiene Dayobjectives In this, the18thyear of World Hand Hygiene Day, we call on all those providing and supportinghealth care to refresh theiraction on hand hygiene and infection prevention and control (IPC),to A substantial proportion of avoidable infections acquired during health care delivery could beprevented if hand hygiene and IPC actionweretaken at the correct times.
