WHEN EUROPE IS THE DESTINATION, HOWEVER, THE INDEX VALUES STAGNATE, WITH ONLY MARGINAL IMPROVEMENTS •ThetravelsentimentindexintheUSshowsthatlong-haultravelintenthasimprovedslightly(+3points)comparedtothesameperiodlastyearandremainsabovethepre-pandemiclevelof107pointsregisteredinSeptember-December2019.However,whenEuropeisthedestination,travelintenthasslightlydeclinedto94points,with41%of •Russian'stravelsentimentremainsvolatile,withtheautumnshowingsignsofimprovementforbothlong-haul(136points)andEuropean(87points)destinationsinlinewithpastseasonaltrends.However,thesentimentremainsbelowthelevelsregisteredoverthecorrespondingperiodinthepast3years,reflectingthedifficultiesforRussianstotraveloutsidetheircountryandconcernsaboutpotentialanti-Russiansentimentatthedestinationtheyvisit. •InCanada,theresumptionofflightconnectionsandthegradualremovaloftravelrestrictionsresultsinapositivetravelsentiment.Thesentimentindexforlonghaultravelisat136pointswhileforEuropeitsitsat104points,suggestingapotentialstartofarecoveryininternationaltravelfromthismarket.
