InSeptember 2020, at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, President Xi Jinping announced that China will strive to peakits carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060, demonstrating to the world China’s resolve and will in makinggreater contribution to climate protection and in fostering a global community of shared future. As a promoter, trailblazer and shiningexample of the green and low-carbon transformation of the steel industry, HBIS has closely integrated its own sustainable development withthe national goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, as well as the sustainability of society and environment.
