The Group is an established subcontractor engaged in concretedemolition works for more than 30 years. The concrete demolitionindustry is one of the specific areas of the construction industrywhich mainly concerns the removal of pieces or sections ofconcrete from concrete structures and the demolition of the entireconcrete structures or buildings. 30 45.5121.275.71.39.0 For the Financial Year 2023, the Group’s revenue increasedby approximately HK$45.5 million to approximately HK$121.2million, compared with approximately HK$75.7 million for theyear ended 31 December 2022 (the “Financial Year 2022”). TheGroup recorded a net profit of approximately HK$1.3 million in theFinancial Year 2023, compared to the net loss of approximatelyHK$9.0 million in the Financial Year 2022. Such increase in netprofit was mainly due to the increase in revenue and gross profitmargin. (i)(ii) During the Financial Year 2023, the Group has completed therights issue exercise and utilised the net proceeds as the generalworking capital of the Group. The Directors are of the view that (i)the net proceeds of the Rights Issue can strengthen the financialposition of the Group and provide additional working capital to theGroup; and (ii) the Rights Issue also represents good opportunitiesto broaden the capital base of the Company. COVID-19 2023 marked a gradual recovery for Hong Kong from the impactof the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Hong Kong economycontinues to face ongoing weakness due to various factors. In lightof this, our Group is approaching the coming year with cautiousoptimism. We will focus on controlling costs and actively seekingnew opportunities in the market.
