The year 2025 witnessed West Asia’s voice resonate on the global stage during the IUCNWorld Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi, where the IUCN Arabia pavilion served as adynamic platform for dialogue, innovation, and regional collaboration. Through more thana week of high-level discussions, project launches, and cross-regional partnerships, weshowcased the region’s growing contribution to global biodiversity and climate agendas, from advancing the “30 by 30” target to promoting Nature-based Solutions and innovativefinancing mechanisms. We also celebrated the signing of new projects and strategic partnerships across ourpriority programmes in biodiversity, water, climate change, and sustainable livelihoods. These initiatives strengthen our ongoing efforts to restore degraded landscapes, empowerlocal communities, and enhance resilience across some of the region’s most vulnerableecosystems. 2025 was equally a year of growth and renewal within the regional office. We welcomednew colleagues whose expertise and energy are already enriching our mission, and weopened new chapters of engagement with Members and partners across the region, expanding our reach, strengthening networks, and deepening collaboration. Theachievements captured in this report reflect the dedication of our Members,Commissions, partners, and staff, who continue to transform vision into action. Together, weare proving that conservation is not only about protecting na
