(USA), and Utility Service Affiliates (Perth Amboy) Inc. (USA-PA). Southern Shores WaterCompany, LLC (Southern Shores) and White Marsh Environmental Systems, Inc. (White Marsh) are wholly-owned subsidiaries ofTidewater. Pinelands Water Company (Pinelands Water) and Pinelands Wastewater Company (Pinelands Wastewater) (collectively,Pinelands), previously subsidiaries of Middlesex, were merged into Middlesex effective April 1, 2026 (for further information, seeNote 2,Rates and Regulatory Matters). Information included in the Recent Accounting Guidance The recently issued accounting standards that have not yet been adopted by the Company as of March 31, 2026 are as follows: Note 2 – Rates and Regulatory Matters MiddlesexRate Matters In February 2026, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) approved the settlement agreement in our general base rateapplication between Middlesex and Pinelands, NJBPU Staff and the New Jersey Division of Rate Counsel, with new rates effectiveFebruary 23, 2026. The NJBPU order approved an increase in our annual operating revenues by $14.5million based on an authorizedreturn on common equity of 9.6% and a common equity ratio of 54.25%. Included in the settlement agreement, Middlesex andPinelands customers received a one-time bill credit in the first quarter of 2026 totaling $3.3million for the overcollection of NewJersey Gross Receipts Taxes.
