Restoring balance: The science and practice of health and well-being New Delhi, India – and online17–19 December 2025Save the date The World Health Organization (WHO) Global Traditional Medicine Centre willconvene the second WHO Global Summit on Traditional Medicine. Building on thesuccess of the inaugural Summit in 2023 and landmark Gujarat Declaration, the2025 Summit will delve deeper into the science and knowledge shaping TraditionalMedicine and include announcements ofnew pledges, products and innovations. The Summit will bring together global leaders, scientists, Traditional Medicinepractitioners and communities to foster partnerships, advance implementation ofthe new WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy 2025–2034 and translate theGujarat Declaration into concrete action. Plenary sessions– explored further through a series of 16 parallelsessions – will cover: •Restoring balance: The science and practice of health and well-beingFraming pathways towards equity, justice and global health. •Investing in science to drive traditional medicine progressInnovating for sustainable development and universal health coverage. •Re-imagining health systems for balance, safety and resilienceStrengthening health care through traditional medicine integration. •Measuring progress and charting the way forwardScaling up data generation, setting standards and fostering accountability. The Summit will launch a robustroadmapof research priorities for all WHO regions,comprehensiveWHO Traditional Medicine Global LibraryandWHO BulletinSpecial Issue on Traditional Medicine. In addition, theGlobal Summit Exhibitionwill be an immersive space for personallearning and to experience Traditional Medicine from around the world throughinteractive displays, talks and events. Ahigh-level ministerial meeting and inaugural eventon 17 December willcomplement the Summit to galvanize momentum and political commitment towardsthe goals of the Summit and WHO Global Traditional Medicine Strategy.
