This report captures the organisation’simpact from June 2024 to May 2025.Amid persistent global economic volatility, geopolitical tensions, rapidtechnological change, and shifting workplace dynamics, IOE remainedunwavering in its focus on fostering conditions where businesses canthrive. Additionally, even as confidence in the multilateral systemwavered, IOE, throughout the year, continued to SUPPORT multilateralismas the most effective route to sustainable economic growth and globalbusiness development.One of the key highlights of the year was the 112th session of theInternational Labour Conference (ILC), held from 3 to 14 June 2024, whichdrew nearly 3,000 participants, including more than 600 representativesfrom the Employers’ Group. Throughout the Conference, Employersstrongly advocated for outcomes that included commitments to promotesustainable enterprises, drive economic growth, and create decent jobs.Throughout 2024 and into 2025, Employers also played a decisive rolein three sessions of the ILO Governing Body (GB). We built support forreforms to democratise the governance of the International LabourOrganization (ILO), pushing for a GB composition that more accuratelyreflects the realities of today’s tripartite constituents. In parallel,Employers secured the inclusion of priority issues on future ILC agendas:unlocking the full potential of technology and navigating structuraleconomic transformation to raise productivity.During the March 2025 GB session, the Employers’ Group expressedits deep respect and sincere gratitude for Renate Hornung-Draus’soutstanding contributions, as she concluded her term as Employer Vice-Chair. Her leadership and steadfast commitment to the values of socialdialogue and enterprise development were widely acknowledged andappreciated across the ILO community during the session.Our participation in the G20 and B20 under both Brazilian and SouthAfrican presidencies ensured that employer perspectives shapedministerial declarations on employment, skills development and digitaladvancement.In response to evolving member needs, we expanded our portfolioof services. In 2025, IOE launched the Business Alliance for AI—aninclusive platform for members and corporate partners to explore4 “None of our achievements would have beenpossible without the active engagement ofIOE members. Your insights, feedback, andparticipation continue to drive the organisationforward and position it as a leading voicein global employment and social policydiscussions. Just as vital are IOE’s partnershipswith international institutions and companies.the opportunities and challenges of emerging technologies. The Alliance also serves as a hub for publiccommunication efforts, helping to amplify business perspectives on the impact and potential of digitalinnovation in the world of work.Policy development remained at the core of our work. IOE published numerous reports and policy reviewson issues ranging from just transition and climate change, skills shortages and development, labour mobility,informality, gender, and social dialogue, to name a few. We also produced innovative multimedia productions onIOE priority topics, expanding the audiences we reach.None of these achievements would have been possible without the active engagement of IOE members. Yourinsights, feedback, and participation continue to drive the organisation forward and position it as a leadingvoice in global employment and social policy discussions. Just as vital are IOE’s partnerships with internationalinstitutions and companies.In conclusion, this report reflects not just our recent achievements but our enduring commitment to creatingconditions where businesses of all sizes can innovate, invest, thrive and create decent jobs.
