We forecast that AI has the potential to create up to200,000 jobs in Australia by 2030, which will need to be met These jobs include tech jobs and non-tech jobs that are directlyrelated to building and scaling AI systems. This breadth of jobsreflects the reality of successfully building and scaling newtechnologies. While tech roles in engineering and product This could be the much-needed boost to productivity that is required Australia’s AI workforce has grown remarkably in recent years, fromaround 800 workers in 2014 to over 33,000 in 2023. This reportinvestigates whether this growth trajectory can continue to meet thehigh demand expected by 2030.
