Foreword Successive amendments of theDecision of the Council on the Control of Transboundary Movementsof Wastes Destined for Recovery Operations[OECD/LEGAL/0266] (hereafter the “OECD Decision”),which concern the lists of wastes, as well as thecorporate change to update the referenceto OECD LegalInstruments necessitate the update of the relevant Guidance Manual forthe Control of TransboundaryMovements of Recoverable Wastes(hereafter the “Guidance Manual”), which supports Adherents in theimplementation of the OECD Decision. This document is a revised version of former iterations of theGuidance Manual(OECD, 2009[1]). It includes: ➢Detailed explanations on how to implement the OECD Decision;➢Other relevant information to facilitate the implementation of the OECD Decision, such asapplicable international transport agreements and a sample contract;➢Information on the OECD Database on Transboundary Movements of Waste as well as the tableof national controls which are applied to certain wastes.
