Letter To The Shareholders During 2024, we achieved several important companymilestones. Our diversified business units deliveredstrong financial and operational performance, andwe completed the refinancing of substantially all ourcompany’s debt. These important achievements weresupported by the dedication and professionalism ofour 18,000 employees worldwide, who play a criticalrolein The GEO Group’s pursuit of operationalexcellence across all our service lines. Our transportation division, GEO Transport, Inc. (GTI),along with our joint venture in the United Kingdom,GEOAmey,safely transported more than 759,000passengers while driving more than 18.5 million milesin the U.S. and internationally. Additionally, in 2024,GTI was awarded a five-year subcontract to provideair operations security support services on behalf ofICE. Our GEO Care division served more than 554,000individualsin 2024,while managing an averagedaily census of more than 304,000 participants inour community reentry and electronic monitoringprograms. During the year, we renewed 31 ResidentialReentry Center contracts, including 15 contracts withthe Federal Bureau of Prisons. We also renewed 44contracts for our Non-Residential and Day ReportingCenter programs. OPERATIONAL MILESTONES Throughout2024,our employees,facilities,andprograms delivered high quality services on a dailybasis. Our GEO Secure Services business unit servedover396,000 individuals,while providing secureresidential services to an average daily population ofapproximately 42,000 persons in our facilities in theUnited States. Our GEO Care facilities and program sites successfullyunderwent a combined total of 345 audits, includinginternalaudits,government reviews,third-partyaccreditations, and PREA certifications. Eight of ourResidentialReentry centers received accreditationfrom the ACA with an average accreditation scoreof 100 percent, and 13 of our Residential Reentrycenters received PREA certifications. Our Secure Services facilities successfully underwent217audits,including internal audits,governmentreviews, third-party accreditations, and Prison RapeElimination Act (PREA) certifications. Eleven of ourSecure Services facilities received accreditation fromthe American Correctional Association (ACA) withan average accreditation score of 99.1 percent, andanother four Secure Services facilities received PREAcertifications. Throughout the year, our BI Electronic Monitoring andSupervision Services subsidiary continued to providea full suite of monitoring and supervision solutions,products, and technologies on behalf of federal, state,and local agencies across the country. BI provideselectronic monitoring and case management servicesfor 290,000 individuals throughout the United States. Duringthe year,we renewed several importantSecure Services contracts. In Florida, our managementcontracts with the Florida Department of Correctionsforthe 985-bed Moore Haven Correctional andRehabilitationFacility and the 1,948-bed SouthBayCorrectional and Rehabilitation Facility wererenewed for two-year terms. At the federal level, werenewed our contracts with U.S. Immigration andCustomsEnforcement(ICE)in California coveringseveralcompany-owned facilities including the1,940-bed Adelanto ICE Processing Center; 400-bedMesa Verde ICE Processing Center; 750-bed DesertView Annex; and 700-bed Golden State Annex forfive-yearterms through December of 2029.Thecontract for our company-owned, 1,328-bed KarnesCounty Immigration Processing Center in Texas wasalso renewed for a five-year term through August of2029. AWARD-WINNING GEO CONTINUUM OF CARE® In 2024, our GEO Continuum of Care® programscompletedapproximately 6.8 million hours ofenhancedin-custody rehabilitation programming.Our academic programs awarded more than 3,000high school equivalency degrees, and our vocationalcourses awarded close to 9,700 vocational trainingcertifications.Oursubstanceabusetreatmentprogramsawarded more than 9,300 programcompletions, and our programs delivered over 60,000behavioralprogram completions and more than43,000 individual cognitive behavioral sessions. Wealso provided post-release support servicesto more than 3,300 individuals returning to theircommunities, with nearly 900 post-release participantsattaining employment. Since 2016, GEO has fundedapproximately$11.3 million towards post-releasesupport grants for released individuals to assist themwith essential community needs, including housing,food,transportat
