These interimresults have been reviewed by the Company’saudit committee (the “Audit Committee”). The unaudited consolidated lossfrom continuing operations for the Period wasapproximately HK$237,712,000 as comparedwith 2023 Period of a loss of approximatelyHK$149,150,000. The unaudited consolidatedloss from discontinued operation for the Periodwas approximately HK$5,656,000, as comparedwith 2023 Period of a loss of approximatelyHK$9,113,000. The increase in consolidatednet loss was mainly attributable to, among otherthings, (i) the increase in loss on changes in fairvalue of investment properties; (ii) the net losson changes in fair value of financial assets atfair value through profit or loss; (iii) the loss onmodification of terms of convertible note; and(iv) the increase in finance costs, which werepartially offset by the decrease in write-down onproperties held for development for sale, net.
