For the realization ofmodernization featuring harmonious coexistence between humans andnature, biodiversity conservation is a responsibility we must fulfill. Thebirth and prosperity of CTG relies on water resources, as a result, in ourgenes runs an inherent sense of social responsibilities and commitmentto green development. With our unfailing devotion to harmonizingdevelopment with conservation, we’re dedicated to the fulfillment ofour core tasks and responsibilities in the promotion of clean energy andeco-environment conservation, the expedition of the practice of newdevelopment philosophy, and contributing to the ecology-oriented featureof the Chinese path to modernization, through which we expect to pullour weight in the building of the Earth’s living community. studies and implements important deployment in regard to “coordinatinghydropower development and ecological conservation”. We keepimproving our sustainable development organizational system andbiodiversity conservation management system, systematically identifyand manage dependencies and impacts on biodiversity, and contributeCTG experience to the modernization of biodiversity governancecapabilities. In 2022, CTG’s commitment on biodiversity endeavorsand the Yangtze River conservation was successfully displayed in theofficial database of the Secretariat of the United NationsConventionon Biological Diversity, making us the first central SOE in China to makesuch a voluntary commitment. Additionally, we emphasize popularscience promotion and cross-border cooperation related to biodiversityconservation, participating in events such as the AESIEAP CEO Conference2022, CEPSI 2023, 2023 World Water Congress, and World HydropowerCongress 2023.
