Twenty-three startups wereawarded grants. Their solutions focused on arange of sectors, including agriculture, water, aquaculture and fisheries, and agroforestry andnon-timber forest products (NTFPs). Digital toolsused ranged from SMS, USSD and agent networksto data-driven applications, Internet of Things(IoT) enabled services, and digital traceability toolssuch as blockchain. Climate change is intensifying both acute shocksand long-term stresses, with disproportionateimpacts in low- and middle-income countries(LMICs); where climate risks compound existingvulnerability. Building resilience requires notonly infrastructure and public services, butalso delivery of timely information, financeand practical support for populations quickly, inclusively and at scale.
