5THEDITION: 2026-2027 PROGRAMMEOVERVIEW Now into its 5thedition, theFIFA Executive Programme in Sports Arbitrationis aleading initiative designed to bridge theory and practice in football law, offeringparticipants the opportunity to exchange directly with arbitrators, lawyers andexperts in the field. FIFA is one of the most active international organisations before the Court ofArbitration for Sport (CAS), managing hundreds of cases annually, from disciplinaryappeals to contractual disputes and the decisions of its judicial bodies. This multi-module programme provides a comprehensive and practical explorationof the principles, procedures and best practices that underpin sports arbitrationglobally. Guided by experts in sports law and arbitration, participants will engage ininteractive sessions, real-world case studies and peer discussions todevelop arobust understanding of dispute‑resolution mechanisms and strategiesinfootball and global sport. The programme is aimed at legal professionals from FIFA Member Associations,confederations, clubs and leagues, as well as independent experts from other sportsorganisations who are responsible for, or involved in, dispute resolution – whetherfrom a legal, governance or integrity perspective – and are seeking to strengthen theircapabilities and contribute to a culture of fairness and transparency in sport. PROGRAMMEGOALS Provide participants with an understanding ofthe foundational principles of sports arbitrationand dispute resolution, including the role ofCAS and other relevant bodies. Equip Offerparticipantspractical guidance innavigating key areas ofsports dispute resolution,such as contractualdisputes, disciplinarycases, governanceconflicts and integrity-related matters, with afocus on real-worldapplication. participants withadvanced knowledgeand practical skills inmanaging arbitrationproceedings, fromdrafting submissionsand handling evidenceto understandingprocedural rules andthe enforcement ofdecisions. Enable participants toanalyse and learn from realcase studies of sports arbitration,fostering critical thinking and practicalproblem-solving skills by examining landmarkdecisions and complex scenarios within theglobal football ecosystem. PROGRAMMEMETHODOLOGY The FIFA Executive Programme in Sports Arbitration, delivered exclusivelyin English, engages participants through sessions, discussions, practicalexamples and interactive activities, with each module and topic designedto complement and enhance the others. Upon the successful completion ofthe programme, participants will receive an official certificate of completionissued by FIFA. PARTICIPANTS The programme is designed for legal professionals and decision makerswho are working in, or aspiring to enter, the field of sports dispute resolution.The course is suited to individuals from FIFA Member Associations,confederations, clubs and leagues, as well as independent experts fromother sports organisations who are responsible for, or involved in, arbitrationand dispute management, whether from a legal, governance or integrityperspective. FIFA willselect up to 28participants.All applicants will be informed of the status of theirapplication accordingly. PROGRAMME COSTS FACULTY A fee of USD1,800 is due upon acceptance into the programme. Participantsfrom FIFA Member Associations and confederations will be exempt from theprogramme fee. The cost of travel and accommodation for the duration of theprogramme is to be covered by the participant themselves or their organisation.
