Europe’s notable showing is alsoa reflectionof European destinations’ efforts to mitigate seasonality and improved airconnectivity. Having faced geopolitical instability and terror-related challenges UPSURGE IN VISITOR VOLUMES IN ALL REPORTING DESTINATIONS Latest results show that tourism growth was strongest in Montenegro (+36%)led by improved air connections and strong demand from Asiansourcemarkets. Turkey’s rebound (+35%) springs from a wide range of sourcemarkets besides Russia, perhaps a sign that safety concerns are starting tofade away. Iceland (+6%) saw a modest increase following seven years ofsustained double-digit expansion.The Nordic island is struggling to diverttravel The first two months of 2018, saw revenue passenger per kilometre (RPK)surge by 6.7% in Europe.
