We continue toserve Hong Kong’s building and construction industries byoffering quality and flexible solutions. From past experience,technicalknowledge together with quality control andestablished procedures, our management team applies ourabilities to tackle difficulties and the increasingly complexissues on construction sites projects, gaining credibility andtrusts of our existing as well as new clients. We continue togain trusts and supports from our clients, consultants andassociates, past and present.Thisyear,mindful of our environmental,social andg o v e r n a n c e( “ E S G ” )r e s p o n s i b i l i t y a n d w i t h t h eencouragementof clients,we continue to use“B100Biodiesel” generators in our plant and machineries in ourlatest projects. According to the research of environmentalprotection professionals, biodiesel emits 11% less carbonmonoxide and 10% less particulate matter than diesel. Tohelp combating the climate-related issues more efficiently, theBoard of Directors established the Sustainability Committee tomonitor the ESG and climate-related matters.During the year, our financial result had been adverselyaffected by provisions made against the liquidated andascertained damages arising from delays in the completion ofcertain projects as a result of inclement weather, unforeseenadministrative delays and underground conditions. We areworking to recover some of the provisions by substantiatingthat the delays are out of our control as a contractor, andwhich is sympathetically gaining the considerations of ourarchitects.No new contract was awarded during the financial year whilethere was 3 new contracts in the last financial year with anaggregate contract sum of HK$700.5 million. On the onehand, we are aiming at tendering the projects with profitpotential, and on the other hand we focus our time in solvingproblems encountered in our ongoing projects, as well asfinalising the account of our completed projects.
