Equipment and building leases The Challenge During the years in which ourclient used its legacy CRM, it haddeveloped its own solutions toenrich the functionality of the previousplatform. In total, there were eight suchcustom solutions, including receiptsgenerators, loan generators, pricingmodules, rate calculators, and customform generators. Employees had grownaccustomed to using the plug-ins, andaccess to critical data was dependentupon the solutions. In order to successfully migrate data toSalesforce and provide an easy transitionfor those using the new CRM, the code inthe legacy solutions needed to be subtlychanged to work with Salesforce.Although the code was being tweaked,it had to be adjusted in such a way thatthe existing solutions were not negativelyaffected or ruined. Tool Set In addition to the three main goals,our team needed to identify dataaccess layers which were connected tothe legacy CRM and connect them toSalesforce.
