BUSINESS REVIEWThe Group sells dried seafood, algae and fungi, and (i)(ii)(iii)(iv) seafood snacks in the PRC. The Group (i) sourceshigh quality raw and processed raw materials, (ii) sub-contracts processing of the unprocessed raw materialsto third parties, (iii) packages products at its ownpackaging facilities or through its sub-contractors, and(iv) sells packaged products under its own brand “Wofan”. The Group also sells dried seafood, algae andfungi without packaging. The Group also engaged in thefood and beverage business since mid 2024. 179.810.36.65.7%3.4%40.338.1 The Group ’s revenue decreased to approximatelyRMB179.8 million in the Reporting Period. Grossprofit for the Reporting Period recorded approximatelyRMB10.3 million (six months ended 31 December2023: approximately RMB6.6 million) and gross profitmargin was 5.7% (six months ended 31 December2023: 3.4%). The Group recorded loss of approximatelyRMB40.3 million (six months ended 31 December 2023:loss of RMB38.1 million). FOOD BUSINESSThe Group has a comprehensive product portfolio with 1003060 different raw materials, flavouring and packaging andconsiders each product to be distinctive. The Groupseeks to differentiate itself from its competitors byproviding a broad and convenient choice of safe andquality products, which creates additional opportunitiesto drive the overall sales.
