Since the beginning of theyear, pent-up consumer demand has been gradually released inmany parts of China. Notwithstanding this, the property sectorin China is still struggling to emerge from the credit crisis afterthe government cracked down on its debt levels in August 2020.Wood consumption is closely linked to the housing market andits demand for construction materials, flooring, furniture, anddecorative items. According to the National Bureau of Statisticsin China, new housing starts has continued to decline throughoutthe Year. As a result, the business environment in which the Groupoperates remains to be challenging and tough during the Year,and exert downward pressure on profit margin. 二零二三年（「本年度」），中國的經濟逐步穩定 復 甦 ， 國 內 生 產 總 值 按 年 錄 得5.2%的 增長。自年初起，中國多個地區逐漸釋出壓抑已久的消費需求。儘管如此，自二零二零年八月政府抑制債務水平後，中國的物業房產板塊仍未從信貸危機中走出來。木材消耗與房屋市場及其對建材、地板、家具及裝飾品的需求息息相關。根據中國國家統計局的資料，本年度全年新房屋動工率持續下跌。因此，於本年度，本集團營運所在的業務環境仍然充滿挑戰及嚴峻，並對利潤率施加下行壓力。 Wood-related Business 木材相關業務 During the Year, the Company has exerted considerable effortsin further developing its core wood-related business, includingwood management, distribution and processing of wood andtimber products by expanding its business to the downstream ofthe supply chain into antique-style wood furniture manufacturing,processing, and sales, for which the products are primarily madeof red mahogany wood and yellow sandalwood. 於本年度內，本公司付出相當大努力，透過將業務擴展至供應鏈下游進入仿古木傢俬（產品主要由紅桃木及黃檀木製成）的製造、加工及銷售，進一步開發其核心木材相關業務（包括木材管理、以及木材及木材產品的加工及分銷）。 With the continuous efforts of the Company and the valuableexpertise and extensive business connections brought to theGroup by Mr. Lyu, the revenue
