The recovery in confidence ofthe real estate industry is slow both in the buyer market andthe capital market, leading to diminishing demand and potentialliquidity risks respectively. In the year of 2023, the total salesarea of commercial housing amounted to approximately 1.12billion square meters, representing a decrease of approximately17.7%as compared with the previous year.In terms ofmonetaryvalue,the sales volume of commercial housingdecreasedby approximately 12.5%year-on-year toapproximately RMB11.7 trillion. Besides, the total investment inthereal estate sector in the year of 2023 amounted toapproximatelyRMB11.1 trillion,representing a year-on-yeardecrease of approximately 16.6%.
