Chen Wangzhi陳旺枝 Chief Executive Officer行政總裁 The medical and healthcare sector in Chinahas made steady progress in 2023, with therelaxation of the three-year restrictive COVID-19measures unleashing patients’ demand forhealthcare services and medical proceduresthat had been subdued for a considerableperiod. This presents a favorable growthopportunity for businesses engaged in themedical services and medical devices industriesas well as drugs and vaccines. Since therelaxation of COVID-19 controls in late 2022and the complete lifting of pandemic measuresi n 2 0 2 3 , t h e t h r e e - y e a r p a n d e m i c h a stransformed the healthcare industry in China,and in particular, medical service providersand all levels of the healthcare supply chainhave undergone critical transformation as wellas facing cyclical changes. Furthermore, 2023is also a critical year for the comprehensiveadvancement of Kanghua Hospital’s “FourthFive-Year Plan”.
