As at 31 December 2023, cash and cashequivalents and other rapidly realisable investments (mainly referring tofinancial products of banks) amounted to approximately HK$310 million(31 December 2022: HK$420 million). In line with the Group’s long-standing prudent practice, there were no interest-bearing liabilities in2023. 業務回顧 BUSINESS REVIEW In 2023, China’s economy was still under the impacts of the novelcoronavirus pandemic. Benefiting from its comprehensive pandemicprevention and control measures, the overall economy in China beganto pick up steadily in the second half of the year. The Group has activelyresponded to the shocks on the domestic economic operation arisingfrom the pandemic. With the support of various stakeholders, the Groupcontinues to staunchly adhere to the strategy of “pursuing progresswhile achieving stability”, strives to focus on its principal businesses,and strictly controls business risks in order to maintain stability in itsperformance.
