(), which was established in July 2011. Since the establishment of the Company and after severalyears of rapid development and a series of business restructuring, the Company has been successfully listed on the MainBoard of the Stock Exchange since 15 November 2016. I.INDUSTRY OVERVIEW 2023 Based on the overall performance of the environmental protectionindustry in the first half of 2023, there are mainly the followinghighlights and industry trends: 1. 1.Pursue Green Development and PromoteHarmonious Coexistence between Humanityand Nature The report of the 20th Party Congress points out that“to pursue green development and promote harmoniouscoexistencebetween humanity and nature”.We willadvance the Beautiful China Initiative and take a holistic andsystematic approach to the conservation and improvementofmountains,waters,forests,farmlands,grasslands,anddeserts.We will carry out coordinated industrialrestructuring, pollution control, ecological conservation,and climate response, and we will promote concertedefforts to cut carbon emissions, reduce pollution, expandgreen development, and pursue economic growth. We willprioritize ecological protection, conserve resources anduse them efficiently, and pursue green and low-carbondevelopment. We will adhere to the green development,promote the transformation and upgrading of traditionalenergy industry, vigorously develop green energy, broadenand strengthen the national important energy base. We willaccelerate the transition to a model of green development.We will boost green and low-carbon industries, encouragegreen consumption, and promote green and low-carbonways of production and life. We will intensify pollutionpreventionand control,make further efforts to keepour skies blue, waters clear, and lands clean, basicallyeliminate serious air pollution, generally eliminate black,malodorous water bodies in cities. We will strengthenprevention and control of soil contamination at the source.The environmental infrastructure will be upgraded and livingenvironments in both urban and rural areas will be improved.We will enhance diversity, stability, and sustainability in ourecosystems. Major projects for preserving and restoringkey ecosystems will be carried out at a faster pace. Wewill carry out major biodiversity protection projects. We willpromote the natural regeneration of grasslands, forests,rivers, lakes, and wetlands, enforce the 10-year fishingban on the Yangtze River, improve the system of fallowingand crop rotation, and prevent and control the invasion byalien species. These policies provide a top-level design andplanning policy guarantee for the Company’s green andlow-carbon transformation and development.
