The Rules Governing the Listing ofSecurities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limitedrequire the preparation of a report on interim financialinformation to be in compliance with the relevant provisionsthereof and Hong Kong Accounting Standard 34 “InterimFinancial Reporting” (“HKAS 34”) issued by the Hong KongInstitute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”). Thedirectors of the Company are responsible for the preparationand presentation of this interim financial information inaccordance with HKAS 34. Our responsibility is to expressa conclusion on this interim financial information based onour review and to report our conclusion solely to you, as abody, in accordance with our agreed terms of engagementand, for no other purpose. A review of the interimfinancial information consists of making inquiries, primarilyof persons responsible for financial and accounting matters,and applying analytical and other review procedures. Areview is substantially less in scope than an audit conductedin accordance with Hong Kong Standards on Auditing andconsequently does not enable us to obtain assurance thatwe would become aware of all significant matters that mightbe identified in an audit.
