Enterprises increasingly recognise that AI is no longer merely a generic tool unattached to coreoperations, but an essential productivity component deeply embedded within the operational core. This raises a morefundamental question: where must we lay the foundations for this burgeoning intelligence? The release ofIgnite the Future of AI: Transforming Industry through AI Integration and Best Practicesaddresses thisfundamental challenge. Building upon our 2025 publication,AI Readiness White Paper: Enterprise DigitalTransformation Pathways and Assessment Framework, which assessed organisational AI preparedness across thedual aspects of tangible infrastructure and organisational capabilities, this new research empowers enterprises toconduct a comprehensive assessment of their preparedness across five critical dimensions: strategy, data,technology, organisation, and governance. Current observations already indicate a significant shift: businesses areincreasingly moving their focus beyond foundational AI prerequisites and toward developing and executing scalableimplementation strategies. Through rigorous analysis of AI’s evolutionary trajectory and deployment pathways byCisco and KPMG, this whitepaper delivers a systematic and actionable framework to tackle organisations’ mostpressing pain points: how to implement a strategic vision into micro-level capabilities; how to seamlessly integratefoundational infrastructure (including energy) that powers a "silicon-based workforce"; how to consistently converttechnological applications into tangible commercial value. This year’s research includes a dedicated analysis of regional ecosystems, examining how AI infrastructure, industrialapplications, and commercial value form a closed-loop system through regional collaboration. This focus is driven bythe emergence of AI as a key engine for developing “new quality productive forces” under the 15th Five-Year Plan’sstrategy for high-quality development. Consequently, AI transformation initiatives ultimately find their proving groundwithin broader regional testbeds – requiring robust ecosystems characterised by resource aggregation, industrialchain coordination, and institutional innovation to achieve scalable implementation. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-MacauGreater Bay Area exemplifies such regions, boasting four core strengths: concentrated supply chains forhardware manufacturing, diverse industrial application scenarios, mature data circulation mechanisms, andadvantages in the opening-up of institutions. Together, these strengths create an optimal environment for validatingand deploying advanced AI architectures at scale. Through rigorous research andthoroughanalysis, we conclude that in large-scale AI implementation, collaborative AIagents, multi-tool orchestration, and ongoing interactions between automated workflows and business systemsresult in AI processes that increasingly resemble the lifecycle of AI tokens – spanning generation, routing, precisionscheduling, and consumption. These tokens encapsulate intelligent outputs while simultaneously quantifyingresource efficiency and business value. Consequently, interconnectivity and trust assurance are foundationalenterprise capabilities in the AI era: interconnectivity governs whether computing power, data, models, andapplications can interoperate efficiently, while trust assurance ensures intelligent behaviours operate within verifiedboundaries. This insight leads us to propose reframing AI infrastructure through integrated token factories–positioning them as core engineering foundations for building organisational resilience in the AI epoch. In thisreport, we outline a systematic pathway for transforming infrastructure into integrated token factories,supported by actionable frameworks based on global best practices. We aim to take our insights and expertise andcollaborate with enterprise leaders, technical architects, and ecosystem partners in a way that strengthensconnectivity, secures digital perimeters, builds resilience, and advances toward a new era of deeply integrated AI andbusiness operations.
