MR.STRICKLING:Great.Ihopeeveryonehas noticed Bruce Washington's tie thisafternoon.Sowe want to--yes,we want ahearty"Go Terps!"for this afternoon,andsomebodyI assume will be providing us every 15minuteswith score updates from inside the WileyConferenceCenter?We'llsee what we can do inthatregard. Butwelcome,and thanks for all of youtocome out even on a--on a typical TV-viewingafternoonto spend your time here on CSMAC.Butweknow how important this issue is,even duringMarchMadness,and I'm glad everyone was able to getover here this afternoon. Iwanted to give you an update on afewthings.Firstoff,for each of you,all ofyouhave now been reappointed to the CSMAC foranothersix-month term.Youwill remember thatwedecided to extend everyone's term to getthroughthe current work cycle. Shortly,we will be releasing thesolicitation,the invitation for people to signupfor the next version of CSMAC,and so we'llletall of you know when that comes out,and Iencourageall of you who are interested incontinuingon to be sure to come back and reapplythroughthat process,and I think the goal is tohavethat team constituted,ideally,before theendof this year, and up and running. Butwe'll see how things play out overthecourse of the summer and fall.Butbelookingfor that notice,and again,we'll makesurethat that information is supplied to youwhenit's filed. Alsoin that regard,with respect to administrativedetails,I am very pleased toannouncethat Dave Reed,who is heading up ourSpectrumPolicy Division,has now been designatedbyme as the Designated Federal Officer forCSMAC,so Dave,I think people know you,butstandup and be recognized.Ithink folks knowhehas a--you know,people would have spottedyousooner if you had followed Bruce's lead andworna Terp tie,but we'll--we won't beleaguerthatissue. Anyway,Bruce is still going to stayinvolvedand help transition Dave into the newposition,so I would also ask that everybodyrecognizeBruce for his years of service with aniceround of applause. (Applause.) MR.STRICKLING:Interms of otherevents,I think folks know we're still working toimplementthe Spectrum Pipeline Act.We'relookingforward to some of the first applicationsfromagencies for monies from the SpectrumRelocationFund to help them better understand andbetter prepare for accommodating commercialbroadbandservices in their spectrum,and sowe'relooking forward to getting some of thosefirstapplications through the process this year. Congresshas been active, notwithstandingthe Spectrum Pipeline Act beingenactedlast year.TheSenate Commerce Committeejustlast week passed out from committee theMobileNow Act,which has a comprehensive set ofprovisionsregarding Spectrum,including theireffortto tailor the President's 500 megahertzbroadbandgoal.
