Overview and Basis of Presentation The accompanying condensed consolidated financial statements have been prepared in accordance with accounting principlesgenerally accepted in the United States, or U.S. GAAP, and presented in U.S. dollars, or USD, the reporting currency of the Company.These financial statements include the assets, liabilities, revenues and expenses of all subsidiaries and entities in which the Company hasa controlling financial interest or is deemed to be the primary beneficiary. In determining whether the Company is the primarybeneficiary of an entity, the Company applies a qualitative approach that determines whether it has both (i) the power to direct theeconomically significant activities of the entity and (ii) the obligation to absorb losses of, or the right to receive benefits from, the entitythat could potentially be significant to that entity. The Company uses the equity method to account for its investments in entities that itdoes not control, but in which it has the ability to exercise significant influence over operating and financial policies.
