The project uses Cubenergy’s FlexCombo system, integrated with on-site solar PV to enable long-duration energyshifting and improve renewable energy utilization. •Max Planck researchers explain dendrite formation in solid-state batteries.- electrive.com Researchers at the Max Planck Institute haveuncovered how lithium dendrites form and penetrate solid electrolytes, causing short circuits in solid-state batteries. Their study showsdendrite growth is driven by mechanical stress and electron leakage, rather than lithium accumulating at the tip. •LG Energy set to ink $7B battery supply deal with BMW.- korea joongang daily LG Energy Solution is close to finalizing a ~$7.3 billion(₩10trillion), 10-year battery supply agreement with BMW, marking one of the largest EV battery deals in the sector. The company will supply next-generation 46-series cylindrical batteries for BMW’s upcoming EV platform, with production primarily from its Arizona plant and potentialexpansion in Europe. The deal supports LG Energy’s growing order pipeline, now exceeding 440 GWh, and strengthens its position despiterecent headwinds, including a Q1 operating loss of₩207.8billion and slowing global EV demand.
