A total of 68 proposals were submitted during the call for proposals in April 2024.The IAEG-SDGs carefully reviewed all proposals andincluded 15 proposals in the global openconsultation, including those outlined here for SDGindicator3.8.2. oDuring July–August2024,an open consultation was held on a preliminary list of a proposalforindicator changes.Forty-sixcomments were receivedin relation totheSDGindicator3.8.2 revision,with 39 approvals.For more information,seeIAEG-SDGs—Indicators revision open consultation. oOn21August 2024,WHO organized an information session for Member States on therevision. The presentation is available online in all UN languages:WHO Universal HealthCoverage Monitoring. oInNovember 2024,WHO was requested to provide additional information to the IAEG-SDG. oInJanuary 2025,the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on Sustainable Development GoalIndicators (IAEG-SDG) recommended adopting the proposed revision. The recommendationis available online inArabic,Chinese,English,Spanish,French,andRussian. See point C andAnnex II. oDuringFebruary 2025,16written commentswere posted online (see agenda item 3e–IAEG-SDG) with no objections. oOn4–7March 2025,thefinal decision at the 56thsession of the United Nations StatisticalCommissionwas made;the revisionswereadopted.
