This is precisely the kind of practical, life-saving assistance the ILO can and should continue to provide.Moreover, we encourage the ILO Liaison Office in Yangon to provide continued technical and legalassistance to help translate the recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry into feasible,step-by-step actions. Supporting progress in a structured way is more likely to yield results thanpunitive isolation.On Regional Support and ASEAN's RoleWe also count on ASEAN, of which Myanmar is a member, to continue to promote peace, dialogueand a ceasefire. We are aware that regional efforts are underway, and we encourage furthercoordination. We look forward to hearing updates from ASEAN representatives in this Committeeon any concrete developmentsand how ASEAN can also help resolve the political andhumanitarian issue in the country.On Time-Bound Measures and the Path ForwardChair, we have also taken note of the recent acceptance by the military authorities of a high-levelILO mission to the country. This signals at least some degree of willingness to engage.It isimportant that the mission proceeds in the conditions that enable objectivefindingsthat caneffectively informthe case of Myanmar when itis discussed at the next CAS in 2026.Closing RemarksWith this in mind, Chair, the Employers’ Groupsupports the draft point for decision.Thank you.
