TheCompany and its subsidiaries (the “Group”) are principally engagedin the operation and management of department stores and propertydevelopment in the People’s Republic of China (the “PRC”). The Group has also further expanded into the most developedmarkets with the fastest growth rate in Eastern China, SouthwesternChina and Northern China, becoming the industry leader in numbersof regions. As at 31 December 2024, the Group had 49 stores withtotal gross floor area of approximately 3.1 million sq.m., of which self-owned properties accounted for 78.1% in gross floor area.
