We collectcyanide tailings, which are a kind of gold mine hazardous wasteresulting from smelting of gold, from the Group’s upstream customers,mainly comprised of gold smelting companies under gold miningcompanies with mine operations in Shandong province and inparticular, in Yantai city, which we, leveraging on our experience andexpertise, detoxify the cyanide tailings and recover therefromresources with economic value such as pyrite concentrate. With thecommencement of production operation of the Group’s productionline for sulphuric acid production (the “New Production Line”) in2023, the Group is able to use pyrite concentrates and reprocess themto produce sulphuric acid, iron powder and electricity for sale todownstream customers, which mainly comprised chemicalmanufacturing companies and trading companies of chemicals in thePRC, in order to attain comprehensive utilisation of gold minehazardous wastes. The Group is the only company in Laizhou city,Shandong province that has obtained the Hazardous Waste BusinessLicence issued by Yantai Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau. Currently, the Group has production facilities strategically located inLaizhou city, Shandong province, where the quantity of gold reservesis ranked first among the county-level cities in the PRC. In 2024, the hazardous waste market is generally sluggish due to acombination of factors: the complex international macroeconomicand political landscape, industry changes, the gradually eased globalinflation, and the downward trend in global economic growth. Thisslowdown is further exacerbated by intensifying competition withinthe hazardous waste industry and a structural imbalance betweensupply and demand. As a result, the hazardous waste industry isundergoing more severe competition and challenges. The globaleconomy was still
