Business Review PCBAPCBA The Group is an electronic manufacturing services (the“EMS”) provider offering comprehensive assemblingand production services of printed circuit boardassembly (the “PCBAs”) in the PRC that integrateresearch and design, selection and procurement ofraw materials, assembling of PCBAs, quality control,testing, logistics and after sales services. 60% The Group tapped into the financial technologybusiness with the cooperation of a third-party businesspartner (the “Regan Group”) since the second half yearof 2022 by acquisition of the 60% registered capital ofShanghai Regan Financial Information Service Co., Ltd.*(the “Regan Financial Information”) (the “Acquisition”),which is principally engaged in provision of thefinancial-related application platform (the “FinancialApplication Platform”) and related maintenance services(the “Platform Maintenance Services”). However, beinga new entrant to the fintech and insurance relatedmarket, the Group is facing keen competition fromlarge insurance groups with their own online platformsin the PRC and find it difficult to expand the customerscale, and the development of the financial technologybusiness was slower than expected. 1.024.3 In the second half year of 2023, taking into accountthe performance of the Financial Application Platformand Platform Maintenance Services business sinceits commencement of operations and the recentnegative news targeting Regan Group, the Board hasmade a reassessment of the development potentialof Regan Financial Information and decided thatthe Group should cut its losses by disposing of thebusiness of Financial Application Platform and PlatformMaintenance Services at a consideration of RMB1.0 (the“Disposal”). After the Disposal, the Group no longerengaged in financial technology business.
