A profitof approximately HK$17 million was recorded, compared to aprofit of approximately HK$5 million last year. Given that inflationary pressures gradually eased which led to adeclinein prices of major raw materials,coupled with theeffective implementation of various cost optimization measuresand the exchange gains from the depreciation of Renminbi, theGroup maintained its core profit level during the period. During the reporting period, under the combined influence ofinternationalgeopolitical divergences,rising unilateral tradeprotectionism,and high capital market costs,the globaleconomic development was fraught with uncertainties. The risksofstagflation and global economic recession still existed.Further,the recovery of the mainland Chinese market wasslower than expected and the inflation in developed economieshad not reached control targets, hindering the global economicrecoveryprocess.The unfavourable macro conditions affectedthepurchasing power and consumption desire of endconsumers,which in turn affected the demand for variousconsumer goods. In the face of abnormal fluctuations from thedemand side, our customers have adopted a more conservativebusinessmodel.In addition to tightening order and inventorypolicies, they also delayed the development of certain potentialprojects,which had a short-term impact on the Group’sbusiness growth. Despite the sharp fluctuations in the businessenvironment, the performance of the three plants in China wasbetterthan expected during the period.The Guangzhou plantcontinuedto record profit,while the Shaoguan plant saw aturnaroundfrom loss.The operation of the Suzhou plantexperienced a slight decline but still recorded a profit. On theother hand, sales in the ASEAN region declined but also saw aturnaround from loss. Facingthe complex and ever-changing domestic andinternational environment and various risks and challenges, theGroupadhered to the concept of seeking progress whilemaintainingstability,actively optimised the allocati
