A profit of approximately HK$5 million was recorded, compared to a profit HK$357 million last year.Excluding the disposal of the entire equity interest in Starlite Printers (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd last year and the resulting net gain of approximately HK$483 million, the core profit level of the Group improved as a result of the effective implementation of a number of cost optimisation measures and the exchange gains from the depreciation of Renminbi during the period.During the reporting period, the global political and economic situation remained complex and severe. The turmoil in the world order such as geopolitical conflicts and escalating collisions among great powers exacerbated the risk of global economic downturn or even recession.
