In 2023, the global economy and consumer market demand werestill recovering due to a combination of factors such as persistentlyhighinterest rates,a weak global economy and geopoliticalsituation. As an important production element for many products,thedemand for rare earth materials was inevitably affected.Inaddition,imports of rare earths from other countries increasedsignificantlyduring the year,resulting in an oversupply of rareearths in the industry and a year-on-year drop in the average priceofrare earth products.In the face of the challenging marketprospect, the Group continued to optimize its operating structureand insisted on the provision of high quality products in an effort toenhanceits overall performance.With the government activelysafeguarding the healthy development of the rare earth industryandcontinued breakthroughs in the application of rare earthmaterials,it is expected that the performance of the rare earthindustry will gradually rebound. 財務回顧 FINANCIAL REVIEW For the year ended 31 December 2023, the Group recorded revenueo fa p p r o x i m a t e l y H K $686,073,000,a 15%d e c r e a s e f r o mHK$810,413,000in 2022.Revenue from the Group’s rare earthproductsrecorded revenue of approximately HK$469,423,000,a14% decrease from that in last year, and accounted for about 68%of the Group’s total revenue.
