However, global economic growthremained soft due to concerns about constant inflationary pressures andrising interest rate. Although epidemic prevention and control measureswere gradually lifted in China, allowing society to return to normalcyand sparking a revival in consumer sentiment earlier in the year,macroeconomic uncertainty hindered strong and consistent momentum.In 2023, China experienced its slowest economic growth in threedecades, excluding the three years affected by the epidemic. Due to thecloudy economic outlook, functionality, practicality, and affordabilityhave become important factors influencing consumer purchasingdecisions. Against the backdrop of a challenging operating environment,the Group continued to advance its strategic focus on strengthening thebrand management of “DAPHNE”, optimising the brand licensing anddistribution business, and refining the supply chain system.
