Thecondensed consolidated financial statements havebeen prepared on the historical cost basis except for certaininvestment properties and certain financial instruments thatare measured at fair value at the end of each reportingperiod. Otherthan additional accounting policies resulting fromapplication of new and amendments to Hong Kong FinancialReporting Standards (“HKFRSs”), the accounting policiesandmethods of computation used in the condensedconsolidated financial statements for the six months ended30 September 2023 are the same as those presented in theGroup’s annual financial statements for the year ended 31March 2023. 2. 2.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTING POLICIES(continued) In the current interim period, the Group has applied thefollowing new and amendments to HKFRSs issued by theHKICPA, for the first time, which are mandatorily effectivefor the annual period beginning on or after 1 April 2023 forthepreparation of the Group’s condensed consolidatedfinancial statements: 171712812 The application of the new and amendments to HKFRSs inthe current interim period has had no material impact on theGroup’s financial positions
