As the world has entered the “post-pandemic era”, economic recovery has now become a topic attractedwide attention. Nevertheless, the global economy faces both opportunitiesand challenges amid high uncertainties of the increasing China-US tradefrictions, the global economic slowdown as well as geopolitical conflicts.The International Monetary Fund forecasted that global economic growthwould bottom out at 2.8% in 2023 and will rise slightly to 3.0% in 2024.Global inflation would also fall from 8.7% in 2022 to 7.0% this year and to4.9% in 2024. 香 港 作 為 世 界 金 融 中 心，自 新 冠 疫 情 爆 發 以 來經 濟 發 展 也 受 到 了 衝 擊。隨 著 二 零 二 三 年 疫 情放緩，關口開放，在訪港旅遊業和本地需求強勁復 甦 帶 動 下，香 港 經 濟 在 二 零 二 三 年 第 一 季 明顯改善，實質本地生產總值(GDP)恢復按年增長2.7%，而在上一季則收縮4.1%。 As an international financial center, Hong Kong has seen its economicdevelopmentalso damaged since the outbreak of the COVID-19pandemic. Entering 2023, the impacts of the pandemic are graduallyreceding, Hong Kong’s economy improved visibly in the first quarter of2023, led by the cross-border opening, as well as a strong recovery ofinbound tourism and domestic demand.
