SUMMARY:The Department ofCommerce’s Internet Policy Task Force(Task Force) will hold a conference atthe United States Patent and TrademarkOffice (USPTO) facility in Alexandria,Virginia, on December 9, 2016, todiscuss current initiatives andtechnologies used to develop a morerobust and collaborative digitalmarketplace for copyrighted works andto consider ways forward to helpachieve that result. This follows up onan earlier public meeting held by theTask Force on April 1, 2015, whichfocused on how the Government canassist in facilitating the developmentand use of standard identifiers for alltypes of works of authorship. •The maritime strike mission monitoring team will participate in themarine mammal species observationtraining.
