Over the year, Hong Kong’s construction industry was stillnavigating a transitional phase marked by a slowdown in growthamid macroeconomic factors. Private sector property developmentactivities in Hong Kong remained cautious, particularly in commercialdevelopments, leading to a restrained number of tenders for façadeand metalwork subcontracts. 33.813.0%226.0 Due to the slow progress of some construction projects, the Group’srevenue decreased by approximately HK$33.8 million or 13.0% toapproximately HK$226.0 million for the Year. Fierce competition in theHong Kong market resulted in high pressure on the Group’s overallgross profit margin. Although government-led infrastructure andurban renewal projects have provided some support to the industryin the near and long term, existing challenges (such as volatility fromUS Federal Reserve’s interest rate decisions, geopolitical tensions andhigh office vacancy rates) remain subduing the property market andinducing keen competition in the industry. Despite the abovementioned challenges, the Group is confident ofleveraging its competitive strengths to maintain market share andcapture future opportunities. We will maintain the prudent approachto bidding for new projects and strive to secure our backlog withreasonable gross profit margins. In addition, we will place greatemphasis on cost control measures in order to reduce the negativeimpact of tight project budgets, while insisting on a high standard ofwork quality and safety. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks toour shareholders, business partners and customers, as well as ourmanagement and staff for their utmost support.
