Geopolitical uncertainties continuedto feed global instability, which had a carry-on effect in regional and localmarkets, resulting in more cautious consumer spending and tighter budgetsoverall. These changing preferences had a large impact on Hong Kong’seconomy. As Hong Kong evolves into its new role in the integrated Greater Bay Area(GBA), local spending patterns and spending habits have fundamentallytransformed. For the catering industry, the most significant shift has beena redirection of dining and leisure consumption patterns – especiallyduring weekends and long holidays. Adapting to this structural change inconsumer behaviour, restaurant operators have been forced to deal with arapidly changing, increasingly interconnected market. Although the first half of the year posed a serious challenge to the Group’sbusiness, the management team took swift action to immediately addressthe situation – and delivered a marked turnaround in the second half of theyear. As a result, I am pleased to report that the Group delivered revenueof HK$8,183.1 million and profit attributable to shareholders of HK$164.1million for the year ended 31 March 2026. 8,183.1164.1 Despite the difficulties faced by the business earlier this year, I remainstrongly confident in the Group’s long-term prospects for the future. Ourprofessional management team has the talent and the skills to guide thebusiness forward, as evidenced by their decisive action in the first half,which led to a quick recovery in operational and financial performance. STRONG PROSPECTS FOR LONG-TERM GROWTH In line with our core philosophy of “keeping pace with the times”,the Group has embraced the challenges of the current situation and iscontinuously transforming the business to maintain healthy, long-termgrowth. In tough times, a purely defensive strategy is not enough. After thesetbacks of the first half, we have regrouped and recovered – and are nowready to return to offense.
