Ourambition when we started this project was to provide data about the global market value This edition of the IMPF Global Market View, illustrates that independent music publishersare a real force within the music ecosystem, documents the economic weight of the sector,and presents figures showing how our community is capitalising on a growing market. Independent music publishers are, however, more than just a market share. They are usuallythe first professional affiliation of creators and their first champions. Our members range from single owner operated businesses to small, regional and largeglobal companies looking after catalogues with hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Independent music publishers are also the vectors of cultural diversity.
