The Rapid Rise of Wellness Technologyin Modern Environments Modern life has a tendency to work against natural systems. From artificial lightexposure to screen-heavy lifestyles, the biological signals that regulate sleep,recovery and energy are constantly being disrupted. As a result, wellness is shifting. Wellness technologies, including Red LightTherapy, Blue Light Blocking devices, Infrared Sauna and PEMF (PulsedElectromagnetic Field therapy), have skyrocketed in popularity in the past year. Rather than forcing health through discipline alone, individuals are turningto technology to restore the biological signals modern environments haveremoved. Reconnecting with the rhythms the body already understands,science-backed wellness technology is fast becoming a key staple of modernwellness routines across the globe. What was once niche is now a core part of how people adapt to modern lifewith growth being led by adults under 35, and embraced as a solution foroptimal sleep, recovery, beauty and wellbeing. This report reveals that the shiftis accelerating rapidly in the world with the majority of users adopting wellnesstechnology for the first time in recent years. This report draws on comprehensive research data gathered from 7,000adults across the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, andAustralia*. It highlights the evolution in wellness technology from who is usingthe latest technologies and why, to the benefits they’re bringing to people’sdaily routines. *Research of 7,000 adults across the UK, USA, UAE, and Australia by Opinium Research in December 2025. “As adoption accelerates around the world, so doesthe responsibility to communicate clearly andbuild trust. People want to understand not justwhat a technology claims to do, but how it worksand why it benefits them. Evidence, transparencyand responsible innovation therefore sit at thecentre of how BON CHARGE continues to grow.” Key Global Research Findings GlobalInsights endorsement in each regionhas encouraged use with thosetrying the product brokendown per region, 39% in UAE,32% in UK, 28% in USA and 26%in Australia. Younger Generations DriveAdoption Routines Globally around 86% of redlight technology users and 82%of blue light blocking usersstarted within the last twoyears. Across the four marketssurveyed, adults under 35 areleading the rapid global rise inusage of wellness technologies. This expands on last year’sreport where two-thirds ofglobal red light users reportedthey began applying thetechnology in the same period. The UAE stands alone wherethe exploration of wellnesstools is also strong with peoplein their late thirties and forties. Blue Light Blocking Devicesare the Most Used WellnessTechnology Currently, a third across thefour markets surveyed haveused Blue Light Blockingdevices (35%) and Red LightTherapy (34%) with each ofthese notably higher in theUAE. Men Lead Global Usage This uptake follows InfraredSauna where two in three usersglobally first started using thetechnology in the last year. Across multiple wellnesstechnology categories, men areleading adoption worldwide,particularly in Australia andAmerica, where the gender gapis widest. The Majority Of Young Adults Are Experimenting WithEmerging Wellness Tech Rise in Aesthetic Motivationsfor Red Light Therapy Usage A desire to try and preventdiscomfort from looking atscreens is the main driver forthe increased usage of bluelight blocking devices globally. Younger consumers are looking towards the future incorporatingand exploring red light and blue light blocking technology intotheir routine. Skin-related goals rankedas the main driver for usageamong red light users acrossthree (UK, Australia and UAE)of the four core marketssurveyed. The exception is red lighttherapy usage in the UK -where slightly more womenthan men have used it (27% ofwomen versus 24% of men). Blue light blocking devices areamong the most establishedtools in wellness routinesglobally, with roughly 20% ofusers reporting consistent usefor more than two years. UAE is the Most PopularMarket The Red Light Face Mask isthe most popular item in eachregion highlighting a trendtowards beauty over recovery. Engagement with wellnesstools such as Red Light Therapy(61%) and Blue Light Blockingdevices (57%) are significantlyhigher than other markets. PEMF Usage is Soaring viaCelebrity and InfluencerEndorsement Celebrity and influencerendorsement is a strong driverfor this - almost half (44%)of those who use Red LightTherapy have done so afterseeing endorsements online.
